The original Unclub.

Who are the Unusual Suspects? We are a group of like minded Amateur radio operators who came together from an original group of 5 hams that enjoyed friendly conversation and shared common interest from Shooting Sports and gun collecting, Hunting, Performance Automobiles, Flying and of course Amateur Radio.

The original group came together in 2006 and slowly grew as other hams heard and enjoyed the friendly banter and joined in the discussions.. Then in late 2006 the idea for an antenna design and construction project came along, and the Unusual Suspects were founded. Today the Unusual Suspects number over 90 UnClub Members and is growing daily. While we are not a club, we perform a wide range of activities from Fox Hunts, Field Day, Contesting, Remote Operations and Antenna design and construction. We enjoy all the good parts of a club, with out the headaches.

Our motto is the more the merrier and everyone is welcome to join the Unclub.

The UNCLUB is an Unusual Suspect way of thinking. We have NO real members, NO Dues, No Political in fighting, NO Officers and NO meetings.

What we do have is all of the fun and all of the activities of a club, with out any of the headaches.

Weekly breakfast get togethers, Monthly Swap Meets, Annual Remote Field Day's, Training Nets, Antenna projects, DFing, and built and operate a group repeater, just to name a few of our many Amateur Radio activities.

Operations:

We operate on the following frequencies:

2 Meters: 146.520 Simplex / 6 Meters 50.130 SSB

1.25 Meters 223.500 / 70cm 443.025 + DCS 315

Note: 2 meters is our primary active freq. Many members of the group do monitor at all time our 70cm repeater 443.025 as well as 223.500 and 50.130.

November through January we have casual net on 3.822 75 meters from 6:30 pm local time to 8:pm. Hear us please join in.

Where do we Meet?

We are an Unclub. We have NO officers and no meetings, no dues. We do meet weekly for breakfast and once a month hold a Meet & Greet with a swap meet.

Each Friday: 7:30 am to 8:30 {Las Palapas {in Forum}}

1st Saturday of each month: 8:30 to 10:am (Breakfast/Swap meet}
